NS Chamber Ensemble

About the Ensemble
The Novi Sad Chamber Ensemble's concert at the 54th BEMUS Festival in Belgrade was named the best concert of 2022 by music critic Marija Ćirić of the weekly magazine NIN.
The ensemble began as a non-traditional formation and continues to evolve beyond strict genre boundaries and conventional classical ensemble structures.
Connection to Novi Sad—whether by birth, work, or origin unite members as the idea that each contributes to the group through their individual artistic achievements.
Ensemble's Philosophy
Bringing together artists as friends and collaborators who share the same musical sensibility.
Exploring together lesser-known and rarely performed works of art music, collaborating with contemporary composers, and engaging promising young musicians, serving as their mentors.
Repertoire and Focus
Ensemble shifts from its core- Wind Trio, toward music for wind instruments and piano. In addition to renowned works such as Mozart's and Beethoven’s quintets for winds and piano, since 2022 program expanded to include lesser-known compositions such as the Sextet by Leo Smit and the Matisse Sextet by young Russian oboist, conductor, and composer Andrey Rubtsov.
Mission
Presenting a rich and diverse portrait of musical art through innovative programs and collaborations that transcend the traditional boundaries of classical music.
